Yes — medical card (GMS), Drugs Payment Scheme (DPS) and private prescriptions are all accepted. Bring your card or scheme details when you collect, and the team will sort the rest.
We’ll ring you with a plan rather than let you turn up to an empty shelf — often a different brand of the same medicine, a different pack size, or a short wait while stock comes in. Where it suits, we can flag an alternative with your GP too.
About a week before you run out. That gives the team time to order in anything that isn’t on the shelf, so you’re never caught short over a weekend or bank holiday.

Castletroy is open until 10pm Monday to Friday and 8pm on Saturdays. All three Limerick pharmacies are open seven days a week.
